Alpha 12.5: New enemy spawning and in game options menu
For this update, I refactored how enemy spawning works. Now, instead of enemies spawning on top of you, enemies are spawned around the level, and will attack when you find them. This allows areas to be cleared, to some extent. I will be refining the system more over future updates to allow for some more varied and interesting enemy encounters.
Part of the enemy spawning change should also give a fairly significant boost to performance as well.
Finally, I was able to implement proper UI scaling, so the menus will work at lower resolutions, and with that fixed, the in-game options menu is now fully functional! Of course, I will still be fixing bugs as I find them.
For the next update, I am going to add a proper tutorial, and work more on making the upgrade system more interesting and impactfull.
